About

The AUPOV Symposium is a bi-annual gathering of Delegates and Presenters representative of all education sectors in Australiasia. The event will bring together many differing online networks and individuals who are exploring or directly implementing the use of PoV technologies in education and other training organisations.



Focus

The focus of the event includes, but is not limited to:
  • the use of body worn point-of-view technologies in an educational context
  • rich media in a networked learning
  • electronic portfolio use in an education & workplace training context
  • ubiquitous learning pedagogy
  • privacy, security and implications of use of technologies in an educational context


Delegates

We are expecting Delegates from all education sectors across Australia, New Zealand and beyond. The use of point-of-view technologies in an educational context are also spread liberally across workplace training, industry and many creative domains in the public sector, not-for-profits and open community education programs.

2011 Program




The 2011 AUPOV Symposium will be held on the 31st October and 1st November 2011 at the University of Wollongong, NSW Australia - Wollongong CampusThe University of Wollongong, also known as UOW, is a public university located in the coastal city of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia which is approximately 80 kilometers south of Sydney

Transport

This location can be accessed with ease from international and domestic airports with rail transport directly arriving close to the campus location. Wollongong City is a major city centre with all public  amenities close to the main UOW campus.

Buses, taxis and shuttle services run to and from the main rail network to the UOW Campuses.





Accommodation


Wollongong NSW Australia has high quality accommodation close to public facilities, restaurants and the city centre. There are many differing types of accommodation and it is advised that you pre-book your accommodation at least a month prior the event dates.




Meals

All Delegates and Presenters at the 2011 AUPOV Symposium will be served delicious meals as part of the Delegates Registration cost including pre-Symposium pastries, fruit and coffee, full buffet lunches and afternoon gourmet pastries and other goodies.

Please indicate your dietary requirments as part of the Delegates registration process.





Cocktail Evening


All 2011 AUPOV Symposium Delegates are invited to attend the Cocktail Evening which is included in the AUPOV Delegates Registration package. This is an opportunity for you to network with Delegates from the Symposium in a relaxed event activity.
