Presenter Selection Process
All submissions received from prospective Presenters are distributed to each Selection Panel representative. Presenter places in the Program will be allocated according to the scores given to individual submissions by the selection panel.
A ranking system is then used to "score" that submission against a defined set of criteria including but not limited to:
- Relevance - Presenters ability to clearly articulate their presentation context
- Currency - Presenter clearly identified as a contemporary in their own field of endeavour
- Clarity - Presenter capability clearly identified - competent public speaker
- Awareness - Presenter is able to articulate issues emerging from the use of body worn technologies
- Engaging - Presenter has a clear sense of purpose and an obvious sense of enthusiasm for their area of practice
- Vision - Presenter predicts or expresses a position of ................
Presenter Acceptance Conditions
All Presenters are subject to the following conditions for inclusion at the 2011 AUPOV Symposium:
- Acceptance - All Presenter submissions are vetted by the 2011 AUPOV Symposium Selection Panel.
- Notification - Accepted Presenters will be notified by email of their Registration status
- Due Process - We are using SoundCloud as a Registration process for all AUPOV Presenters.
- Consent - All Presenters are subject to the same Media Consent process of Delegates
- Attendance - All presenters must attend the event program either physically or virtually
- Benefits - All benefits of being Presenter are listed above
- End Date - All Presenter registrations must be received prior to COB on 1st October 2011.
- Expiration - All SoundCloud recordings must remain valid for one (1) year
- Contact - All contact must be made via Symposium Co-ordinator Alexander Hayes
- Exclusion - Failure to comply with Presenter conditions will result in withdrawal of Acceptance
- Selection - No correspondence will be entered into as to the results of the selection process
- Naughty Behaviour - Presenters are NOT permitted to canvas the Selection Panel members.
